Whose story is it? Consumer and carer perspectives on participation in research

Date & time

10am–2pm 11 June 2015

Griffin Centre, Genge Street, ACT

This forum will be focused on the participation of carers in mental health research. We are interested in the perspectives of both consumers and carers. During the forum, we may be discussing issues such as:

  • Can consumers and carers participate in research if the other declines?
  • How can carers of people who deny their illness participate in research?
  • Can consumers and carers participate without the knowledge of the other?

The forum is part of ACACIA’s research, so you will be given a detailed information sheet on the day. You will be asked to sign a form to participate. This is so we can write up the results to share with consumers, carers and the wider community, as well as write an academic paper.

This is a free event.
